Strawberry: how to play
Clap or tap a steady beat. Do not speed up. Pick who says the first word.
Players
2 or more.
What you need
Hands for a table beat. Like you’re keeping time for the house band.
Setup
Clap or tap a steady beat. Do not speed up. Pick who says the first word.
How to play
- First person says “strawberry” short, on the beat.
- Next person stretches it: “straw-berr-y”. Still on the beat.
- Every turn gets a little longer. That’s the climb.
Example round
“strawberry” / “straw-berr-y” / “straaaw-berrr-y”. Table wants Hangul? ttalgi. Same stretch. Same trouble.
When the round ends
Miss the beat, clip the word, or forget to stretch, you’re out this round.
Common mistake
Speeding the clap so nobody can stretch, or swapping in a new fruit mid-round. Stay on the special.
No-alcohol version
Play exactly the same rules with water, soda, tea or no drinks at all. When someone is out this round, they simply sit out, start the next round, or take a light forfeit the table agreed on beforehand — such as choosing the next game or spinning the wheel.
Play responsibly
Soju Playland is for adults. If you choose to drink, you must be of legal drinking age where you are (for example 19 in South Korea and 21 in the United States) — and the site itself is for ages 18 and up. Drinking is never part of the rules: nobody has to drink, a pass is always fine, and water or soda works for every game. Never pressure anyone to drink, never treat these games as a drinking contest, and never drink and drive.
