King: how to play
Draw lots. One mark is the king. Everybody else gets a number. Hide it till the king calls you. Keep the numbers secret.
Players
3 or more.
What you need
Napkin scraps, leftover sticks, or fingers behind a back. No glasses required.
Setup
Draw lots: one mark names the king and the others give each player a secret number. Agree on harmless, optional actions before you start.
How to play
- The king calls one or two secret numbers.
- The king suggests a short action such as swapping seats, making a pose, or singing one line.
- The named players may do the action or pass. Draw new lots for the next round.
Example round
King says “2 and 5, swap seats”. Number 2 and number 5 get up and switch. That’s the bit.
When the round ends
There is no required penalty. Anyone may pass or suggest another action.
Common mistake
Do not reveal your number before the call. Keep every action optional.
No-alcohol version
This game has no drinking rule. Keep the king’s actions short, harmless and optional, as the rules say.
Play responsibly
Soju Playland is for adults. If you choose to drink, you must be of legal drinking age where you are (for example 19 in South Korea and 21 in the United States) — and the site itself is for ages 18 and up. Drinking is never part of the rules: nobody has to drink, a pass is always fine, and water or soda works for every game. Never pressure anyone to drink, never treat these games as a drinking contest, and never drink and drive.
