High-Low: how to play
The number inside a soju cap is the answer, 1 to 50. Guess around the booth. Thumb down if you went high, thumb up if you went low. Exact number is out this round.
Players
2 or more.
What you need
One soju cap you just twisted off. The number printed inside the cap is the answer. No pen. No napkin.
Setup
Pop the bottle. Keep the inside of the cap to yourself. The runner only says “1 to 50”. That’s the whole speech.
How to play
- Next person says a number. One number. Then sit.
- Guess too high? Runner’s thumb goes down. Guess too low? Thumb goes up. No extra talk.
- Keep going around the booth until somebody hits the exact number.
Example round
Inside is 27. First guess “40” — thumb down. Next “15” — thumb up. Next “27”. That’s the one.
When the round ends
The person who says the exact number is out this round.
Common mistake
The runner talking instead of using the thumb, or flashing the cap so the table sees it. Don’t guess 0 or 60.
No-alcohol version
You do not need to open a bottle: the runner writes a secret number from 1 to 50 on a scrap of paper, folds it, and answers with thumbs up or down exactly as with a cap.
Play responsibly
Soju Playland is for adults. If you choose to drink, you must be of legal drinking age where you are (for example 19 in South Korea and 21 in the United States) — and the site itself is for ages 18 and up. Drinking is never part of the rules: nobody has to drink, a pass is always fine, and water or soda works for every game. Never pressure anyone to drink, never treat these games as a drinking contest, and never drink and drive.
