3-6-9: how to play
Count up around the table. Clap on 3, 6, or 9. Say the number when you should clap, and that person is out this round.
Players
2 or more, in a circle.
What you need
Hands. You’re clapping, not dealing cards.
Setup
Point at who says “1”. Go clockwise, like the clock over the pie case.
How to play
- Say the next number. One number each. Keep the count in order.
- Number has a 3, 6, or 9 in it? Clap. Don’t say it. 3, 6, 9 = one clap. 13, 16, 19, 23, 26, 29 = one clap. 33 = two claps.
- Next person keeps the count rolling.
Example round
“1”, “2”, clap, “4”, “5”, clap, “7”, “8”, clap, “10”… later “32”, then clap-clap on 33.
When the round ends
You say it when you should clap, or you clap on a clean number, you’re out this round.
Common mistake
Saying “six” out loud by mistake, or one lonely clap on 33.
No-alcohol version
Play exactly the same rules with water, soda, tea or no drinks at all. When someone is out this round, they simply sit out, start the next round, or take a light forfeit the table agreed on beforehand — such as choosing the next game or spinning the wheel.
Play responsibly
Soju Playland is for adults. If you choose to drink, you must be of legal drinking age where you are (for example 19 in South Korea and 21 in the United States) — and the site itself is for ages 18 and up. Drinking is never part of the rules: nobody has to drink, a pass is always fine, and water or soda works for every game. Never pressure anyone to drink, never treat these games as a drinking contest, and never drink and drive.
